They do not Hibernate Yet They Sometimes Flock Underground…

Find out about this unusual species of mamals who will be visiting Montréal next January 1997 !

Montréal, September 10, 1996 — From January 20 to 24, 1997, l’Association professionnelle des guides touristiques, chapitre de Montréal (Montréal Profesionnal Tourist Guide Association, APGT), will host the 7th International Convention of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Lecturers’ Associations (WFTGLA).

These mamals will be Tourist Guides from all over the world being led by a Montréal’s professional licensed Tourist Guide through the underground city! They will be demonstrating how we in this city have made winter an attractive industry.

The theme for the convention is Excellence in Motion. Lectures and workshops will cover such topics as Coach Safety Procedures, Group Psychology, The Age of Technology : good or bad for the profession and clients ? The convention will focus on the importance of this profession in the tourism industry and the Tourist Guides role as the ambassadors for their own regions.

This international event will bring together over 350 Tourist Guides from five continents. So Montréal is the place to be January 20 to 24, 1997. Why not join them!
