Join the APGT IN 2013
There are two categories of members:
Active ($60 CAD):
- Have followed a tour guide course given by a recognized institution and graduated;
- Have a current City of Montréal tour guide permit.
Active ($45 CAD):
- Is a gradutate of ITHQ for the current year (2012-2013)
- Have followed a tour guide course given by a recognized institution and graduated;
- Have a current City of Montréal tour guide permit.
Associate ($45 CAD):
- Have followed a tour guide course given by a recognized institution;
- Had a City of Montréal tour guide permit in the past;
- No longer guiding
To become a member of the APGT or simply renew your membership, please:

- Write cheque payable to APGT Montréal
- Mail with a copy of your City of Montréal permit to:

17 good reasons to be a member of the APGT
- To be on the list of members which is distributed by the APGT to all Montréal employers of tourist guides (active members only).
- To benefit from the Civil Liability Insurance.
- To receive the APGT’s official brand items: membership card, triangle, scarf and tie.
- To have free access, upon presentation of a current APGT membership badge, to the following museums and attractions.
- To receive the list of all Montréal tourist guide employers updated annually.
- To have access to the exclusive Members Area section on the website.
- To network with other APGT members and people in the tourism industry at events organized by the Association, museum exhibit openings and other launches where APGT members are invited.
- To be among the first people to preview new attractions and be invited to exclusive events in Montréal and surrounding areas.
- To be represented by the APGT Board in discussions with agencies, employers, governments and other authorities to promote members interests.
- To have access to all refresher courses and workshops for members only (free or reduced rate).

- To have discounted fees to WFTGA Convention and events.
- To have the right to vote at the Annual General Assembly (active members only) and at the international level.
- To benefit from the marketing and promotion of APGT members within the tourism industry in Montréal and on the International level.
- To have the right to put forward your name to be a candidate and eventual member of the APGT Executive Board and Council.
- To have access to an international network of tourist guides.
- To be able to contribute to the newsletters and discussions for the benefit of all members.
