How to book/hire an APGT tourist guide?

Most Montréal tourist guides are freelance workers employed by various local tourist guide agencies and destination management companies.

These agencies work closely with licensed members of the APGT. The Association maintains a list of members that it shares with the agencies. The information on this list helps agencies match you or your client with the guide best suited for your needs.

While private tours generally cost between $140 and $175 for 3 hours, this allows for complete creativity on the part of the client. Specific Montréal attractions can be incorporated into the itinerary as desired. For example the client may decide to include the Notre-Dame Basilica. (NB: The cost of attractions is extra) Otherwise many agencies offer tours to the public which are very reasonably priced and include any entrance fees.
